Why participate?
Fieragricola, always at the side of its exhibiting companies offering new business opportunities in important international markets, planned this trade mission, specifically addressed to Italian manufactures of agriculture technologies and their distributors/importers. The trade mission format envisages:
- B2B meetings between Italian companies and their South African counterparts - not only importers and distributors but also “end users”, i.e. the large wine and fruit growers in the region,
- machinery tests in the vineyard,
- field visits to wine cellars and companies active in the sectors involved.
Fieragricola South Africa is the first step along a path that, in mid-term, could lead to the creation of an exhibition event specifically dedicated to wine and fruit growing sectors.
South Africa is the most competitive and innovative market in the sub-Saharan region. It is the most modern country in all Africa, with well-developed infrastructures and services. It is characterised by medium-high - and constantly growing - levels of mechanisation intensity and is a strong net importer of agricultural machinery and equipment: Italy ranks 1st as supplier of tractors and 4th as supplier for agricultural machinery. Considering, in particular, the wine sector, vineyards total 120,000 hectares with 3,145 active wine cellars.
